Idaho Gives, an annual program of the Idaho Nonprofit Center, was typically a one-day online giving campaign for a large number of charities, nonprofits, and organizations.
As with almost everything else, however, the COVID-19 pandemic forced changes and the statewide event was extended to two weeks in 2020. It ran for one week in 2021.
This year, the event has been changed again, and it is still not a 24-hour period. Idaho Gives will run for four days this time around, May 2-5, Monday through next Thursday.
Meanwhile, visit idahogives.org, browse registered organization profiles, and support the nonprofits that mean the most to you.
Idaho Gives is “designed to bring the state together, raise funds and awareness for Idaho nonprofits,” according to a press release. With its inclusive online platform, donors have a convenient one-stop-shop.
And with the extra days, it gives nonprofits the opportunity to engage more with potential donors in hopes of building a lasting relationship.
Prizes are always an important part of Idaho Gives and will be distributed in different categories.
“The past two years have been difficult for everyone, and people are leaning on nonprofits even more,” Kevin Bailey, CEO of the Idaho Nonprofit Center, said in the statement. “In addition to raising funds and awareness, Idaho Gives 2022 is also a great opportunity to celebrate the hard work of charities during the pandemic.”
